India Asks Bangladesh To Deport ULFA Leader

During the ongoing meet between the Inspector General, Border Security Force (BSF) and Deputy Director General of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), India has sought the deportation of ULFA General Secretary Anup Chetia and other militant leaders from Bangladesh.

The Border Security Force (BSF) have asked Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) to deport 113 militant leaders including ULFA Chairman Arbind Rajkhowa, its General Secretary Anup Chetia and other ultras residing in the neighboring country while handing over a list of 172 insurgent camps in Bangladesh.

The BSF is also putting on the table the issue of Bangladesh training and giving shelter to insurgent groups as well as supplying arms to anti-national elements. Bangladesh has persistently denied all allegations that any militant camps operates from its soil.
