In what appears to be a series of attacks on non Assamese people by the banned militant outfit ULFA, more than 23 non-Assamese people have been reportedly killed in Tinsukia district's Sadiya area in Assam.

Earlier seventeen non-Assamese were gunned down on Friday by the insurgent outfit in Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts.

The militants who were masked and armed with AK-47 rifles attacked remote village Ghuramora, under Sadiya police station, early in the morning on Saturday and gunned down the workers.

Following the attacks, there have been clashes amongst the local population in Dhola, Tinsukia, with many immigrants attacking the ethnic Assamese people.
