Government On Anti ULFA Overdrive

After being at the receiving end of terror for over a decade, the government has finally decided to take some strong decisions and along with the Indian army has vowed to eliminate militant group ULFA.

All-out strikes against ULFA got the green signal from the government last night, with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today vowing no respite till the militants were wiped out.

The banned outfit will face long and uninterrupted operation in the state, as well as Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, with top brass looking after internal security in the country to meet in New Delhi on Friday to draw out a long-ranged operation.

Many of ULFA's Hindu leaders, who enjoy the hospitality of Bangladeshi intelligence in Bangladeshi territory, have now become Hindu mercenaries, who are letting themselves be used by the intelligence agencies of two countries, who are India's ill-wishers --Bangladesh and Pakistan -- in order to fulfill their agenda of making Hindus kill Hindus for no other reason than that they speak different languages and come from different parts of India.

Gogoi, who has accused the ULFA of acting at the behest of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI to carry out the massacre of non-Assamese migrants, said his priority would be to restore peace and 'instill confidence and a sense of security' among Hindi-speaking people targeted by the militants.
