Musharraf Denies Al-Qaeda Presence In Pakistan

On the fifth anniversary of the World Trade center attack when the world reflected on the unfortunate incident and resolved to bring to justice those responsible for it, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said that Bin Laden backed Al-Qaeda is on the run while claiming that the terrorist outfit has been eliminated from Pakistani cities.

Musharraf who was addressing leaders of the European Union in Brussels also described the Taliban as the new and far deadlier enemy compared to the Al-Qaeda.

The comments days after Afghanistan's Ambassador to the United States blamed Pakistan's stance on the issue which was hampering Osama hunt and confirmed reports that Mullah Omar was indeed seen in Quetta, Pakistan.
