In an effort to increase the number of books about modern Indian literature, the British Council libraries around the world have decided to include more books by Indian publishers.
This was disclosed by Director of the Council's Literature Department, Susanna Nicklin while interacting with Indian women publishers in New Delhi.
She said there was great interest in India around the world and it was important to sustain this interest. "As a social and cultural organization, we want to permeate ideas using literary education, and this initiative will go long way in helping understand more about India," she said.
