PSU Paying Paswan's Personal Expenses

By Network on November 17,2006

If you pay your taxes regularly but still wonder why development work around you is not up to the mark, then the reason behind it is that a large amount of tax-payers money and funds that should be directed towards country's growth are diverted to fund various politician's whims and fancies as in the case of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) which has been footing Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Ram Vilas Paswan's personal expenses.

According to various news sources, a letter written by Officer on Special Duty assigned to Paswan, R P Rathi, to the SAIL Chairman, asked the PSU to pay two bills for Paswan's mobile amounting to over Rs 77,000. Paswan however has denied all knowledge of these transactions.

Some documents also suggest that the PSU spent nearly Rs 1 crore on the wedding of Paswan's daughter.

The so called Dalit leaders are simply not doing anything for the welfare of the poor and are just using their name to their political advantage. Its high time that people of India realize that politicians want to keep us oppressed and poor and that is the only way they can maintain their sway over us, get elected to positions of power where they can indulge in their favorite pastime.

Will Paswan just SAIL through these accusations like most politicians or will something come up from these media reports remain to be seen.
