Hollywood's most popular couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrived Thursday in Pune for the month-long shooting of a film title "Mighty Heart" based on the real life story of slain American journalist Daniel Pearl who was beheaded by Taliban in 2002.

The crew has chosen Pune on the basis of resemblances the city has to Karachi, where Pearl was shot. His wife Marianne, who too is a journalist spent one month from the day she learnt about Pearl's kidnapping until the latter's beheading by his abductors in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.

The much anticipated visit of the celebrity couple for a month-long shooting schedule has generated excitement and media interest, though the details about their stay has not been revealed yet.

The film is scripted by the slain journalist's wife Marianne, is co-produced by Pitt's production company. Jolie stars as Pearl's spouse and Dan Futtermann is being cast in the role of the slain Wall Street Journal reporter.
