A Chandigarh Police sub-inspector, Jaswant Singh, was sentenced to one-year rigorous imprisonment by a local court here today. Singh was under suspension since he was caught by Central Bureau of Investigation on August 3, 2005, on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000.
